Guess what?: Andika may be free, with two stipulations

A

ndika Mahesa is potentially facing 15 years in prison after he confessed to having sexual relations with his girlfriend.

But, his girlfriend’s family has proposed that the man adhere to two requirements and they will revoke the report they filed with the police, originally charging the singer with kidnapping.

They are asking that Andika pay them compensation and marry the girl.

Andika’s lawyer, Ferry Juan, said they will not provide the family any money. “I do not know how much they are asking for, but I refused. Because I think compensating is not humane, it is similar to harassing [the girl] and also violates the law because the family has exploited the child,” Ferry said, as quoted by kapanlagi.com.

As to the second requirement, Ferry said he supports it because that is what the Kangen Band vocalist wants. “We agree to the second requirement,” he said.

Ferry said the family is still discussing the situation. “We are waiting to meet [the family]. If there is a certainty, I will fly again to Bandar Lampung to settle everything.”
