he world’s top badminton player Lee Chong Wei is expected to play for Musica Champion in the upcoming local competition Djarum Superliga Badminton 2013.

Musica manager Haryanto Arbi said that they would expect a possible match between Chong Wei and Indonesian star Taufik Hidayat, who has
currently been suffering a dip in performance.

Taufik will play for SGS PLN Bandung in the competition, which features 10 men’s and eight women’s teams, scheduled for Feb. 3-9 at DBL Arena, Surabaya. Five of the teams will attend from overseas.

“If Chong Wei plays for us we are sure we can win all matches,” he said as quoted by Antara.

Musica has also recruited Lee Hyun-il of South Korea while Jaya Raya has Bonsak Ponsana of Thailand in its lineup.

SGS PLN was reported to have approached Kencihi Tago of Japan and Wang Zheng Ming of China.
