he Attorney General’s Office (AGO) questioned the chief of the National Scouts Association Asrul Azwar on Monday over his alleged involvement in a graft case.
Asrul, who served as chief of the National Scouts Association between 2008 and 2013, arrived at the AGO building at 10 a.m. but did not respond to questions from journalists.
Tempo.co reported that the AGO moved against Asrul after finding irregularities in the budget of the organization based on the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) annual report.
Last year, accusations of graft were leveled at the National Scouts Association after reports began to circulate that parts of the scout camp ground in Cibubur, controlled by the association, had been sold to private firms for the construction of shopping malls.
