Your comments on the bill to regulate mass organizations and the call to disband those organizations whose members engage in violence:
We often see community organizations involved in crime. Members of different groups attack each other because they have different opinions on certain issues.
The existence of mass organizations is actually good for democracy because members of the groups can voice their aspirations.
Regrettably, however, many are used by certain parties for their own interests, to protect their disputed land or carrying out raids in certain places (nightclubs, etc.) because such places are a source of sin.
The bill on mass organizations is needed to regulate the existence of such organizations although many fear that the bill could restrict freedom of expression and association.

I think most Indonesians will welcome a bill to regulate mass organizations and disband organizations whose members carry out violent activities.
I don’t know why the state seems powerless to punish certain groups, whose members prefer violence to peace.

We should have done this from our very beginning to forgo the embarrassing altercations between Sunni and Shia. The refusal of a church construction and the like only embarrasses the nation when in fact we already have Pancasila and Bhineka Tunggal Ika to guide us properly.
