he Bantul administration introduced its newesttext message service ' the number is 08112741000 ' for residentsto file complaints or suggestions about the public health service inYogyakarta.
The local administration has promised to respond quickly to messages.
Bantul Deputy Regent Sumarno said all suggestions would be used by local health authorities to improve or formulate policies.
'We have [started this service] for all the people of Yogyakarta not just Bantul,' Sumarno told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday.
Yogyakarta Deputy Governor Paku Alam IX said he expected the new service would be useful for poorer residents who have faced problems when trying to gain access to health services. (nai/dic)
