etyabudi Tejocahyono, the Bandung judge detained by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for alleged bribery, reportedly asked for weekly sex services as a bribe, a lawyer said.
'Setyabudi spoke about the service as sunnah rosul [words and deeds of the prophet],' said Johnson Siregar, the lawyer of Toto Hutagalung, one of the suspects in the bribery case.
On Wednesday, KPK deputy chairman Bambang Widjojanto declined to confirm Johnson's statement, saying that the investigation was ongoing.
He added that if the allegations were true the agency would outline such charges in the indictment. 'It is possible [to charge him with receiving a sexual gratuity] because it still qualifies as a form of gratuity.'
Toto has been charged with bribing Setyabudi in return for lenient sentences for seven Bandung administration officials tried for their roles in the 2009 and 2010 social aid fund graft case.
Setyabudi is accused of accepting Rp 150 million (US$15,400) in bribes to sentence the officials to a one-year jail term each.
