he Jakarta Police said on Wednesday that they were hunting a Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang mosque caretaker identified only as MF, 25, for alleged sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl identified only as AIS.
'The South Jakarta Police are now hunting the suspect who fled after the case came to light,' Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto told reporters on Wednesday, adding that the police had questioned six witnesses, including the victim herself, who lives not far from the suspect's house.
The police said the victim's family testified that MF had allegedly sexually abused AIS on three occasions since January, once in his room located in the mosque compound after a community project. The victim's family found out about the incidents when AIS' brother read her diary, and immediately filed a report with the South Jakarta Police earlier this month.
