Hundreds of homes were destroyed after the earthquake on Tuesday and two villages, Bah and Serempah in Ketol district were left isolated.
Most of the people were moved to temporary barracks in nearby Kute Gelime village,
'People are still living in poor conditions and have received no assistance until now,' team coordinator of Yayasan Pusaka Indonesia Emergency Team Response, Prawoto, told The Jakarta Post on Friday.
He added that in Serempah there were 74 households or 361 people who had lost their homes.
Local cleric, Syeh, said that victims needed staple foods, mats, public bathing and washing facilities, mattresses, clothes, blankets, toilets and tents.
'This is the second day we've stayed in the barracks, but we have not received any aid, we also need proper shelters, which can protect us from the cold weather,' Syeh said.
The Tuesday quake that jolted Bener Meriah had so far claimed 35 lives and injured dozens of others. (hrl/dic)
