Upstream oil and gas regulatory special task force SKKMigas targets earning US$52
pstream oil and gas regulatory special task force SKKMigas targets earning US$52.2 billion to $60.2 billion in revenue in 2014, a top official says.
The head of SKKMigas, Rudi Rubiandini, said the revenue comprised $31.4 billion to $37.8 billion in revenue from oil and $20.8 billion to $23 billion from gas.
'It is expected that the government could earn revenue of $26.6 billion to $34 billion,' he said as reported by Antara news agency on Saturday.
He further said that from the amount, contractors would receive $7.9 billion to $10.2 billion. At the same time, the government would have to cover cost recovery of $16.5 billion to $17.6 billion.
As for gas, the government was expected to gain $9.2 billion to $11.2 billion, while at the same time spending $6.1 billion to $6.8 billion on cost recovery. Contractors' projected revenue was $4.7 billion to $5.7 billion.
The 2014 revenue target is based upon a presumption of a crude oil price of $100 to $115 per barrel and gas price of $8.45 to $9.43per mmbtu.
The volume assumption is set at a maximum 900,000 barrel of oil per day and between 1,240 and 1,250 per barrel of gas day.(hrl/dic)
