he North Sumatra Police have confiscated 40 tons of smuggled frozen meat from a house in Deli Serdang regency.
North Sumatra Police general crimes directorate head Adj. Sr. Comr. TeguhYuswardhie said that the raid was in response to a neighbor's tip off about themeat.
"This meat was transported from TanjungBalai Portand does not have proper documentation," he said.
Teguh said the importer, Ade, had admitted that he was planning to sell the meat to a buyer in Jakarta.
"Currently, the police are interrogating Ade in order to uncover the network,"Teguh said. (fan/dic)
