ormer Bank Indonesia (BI) assistant governor, Hendar, wasofficially installed as BI deputy governor on Friday.He replaced Muliarman D. Hadad who left to lead the FinancialSupervisory Authority (OJK). The inauguration ceremony, which took place at theSupreme Court (MA), was led by Supreme Court chief justice Hatta Ali.
Hendar term will run from 2013 to 2018.
Hendar started his career in BI's General Credit department in 1983. He went on to be chief of the Monetary Regulations Bureau in 2004 and in 2009, was appointed executive director of the Monetary Managing department. He has held the BI assistant governor role since earlier this year. (apt/dic)
