As many as 6,355 Idul Fitri travelers were at Gambir Central Station on Saturday evening, an official said.
'We have seen more people so far today than on previous days,' Gambir Station chief Edy Kuswoyo said on Saturday as quoted by Antara news agency.
He added that as many as 34 trains, including eight additional trains, would carry 6,355 passengers today.
He said the station would see its peak number of passengers on Saturday and Sunday.
'Eight additional trains are on standby every day,' Edy said.
The Gambir recorded 10,742 and 18,007 passengers on Thursday and Friday respectively. Meanwhile, on Saturday the number of passengers recorded as of 15.45 p.m. was 6,355 people and still growing. (hrl/dic)
