our comments on the performance of Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo and Deputy Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama, who will mark one-year leading the Jakarta administration on Oct. 15.
Jokowi and Ahok have done enormous things that previous governors failed to do.

Jokowi and Ahok tried their best to solve problems inherited from their predecessors.
Their unique approach has made people sit up and take them seriously. It is their seriousness to develop the city that has helped attract foreign capital.
This all indicates that these two are indeed the right ticket for the 2014 presidential election.

Jokowi and Ahok have successfully done a lot of things, including dredging Ciliwung River and relocating street vendors as well as kicking off construction of the MRT. They have also made the city administration more efficient and productive.

They both need opportunities to expend their talents. Recently many political observers have mentioned Jokowi as a potential presidential candidate, which might push him to perform better.
It is too premature to propose him for 2014's general election. Let him work to achieve his goals. Afterward we can put a value on whether he deserves to be the next Indonesian leader or not.

Most people say the leadership of Jokowi-Ahok is better than those before. They also hope that Jokowi can be promoted to become president.
But after one year in leading the capital, Jokowi hasn't shown good leadership.
In my opinion, to lead a city means making it better. Don't ever underestimate his leadership, he just needs a system. We as citizens have to give support to the development of the capital.

It is only one year and we need to keep on pushing these two leaders. So far they have done well and sure, there are some disappointments but they have tried their best.
We must not only say we support them but show the support by participation and active vocal support.
Remember there are enemies out there who will hurt these two simply because they are popular and a threat to them: And not to mention those eyeing the presidency next year.
Well done Jokowi-Ahok ' keep up the good work!

We have been screaming for the last two or three years about the worsening noise pollution in the city caused by motorcycles.
Hopefully, with the high score given for their first year of service, both Jokowi and Ahok will have the willingness to eradicate noisy motorcycles regardless of its impact on local muffler suppliers.
