His behavior was caught on camera and the video has gone viral on the internet. The police allowed the man to continue his journey without a fine.
Crime unit head at the Karawang Police, Adj. Comr. Mirza Maulana, said that the police had summoned the man, identified as Sahal, on Wednesday. 'The testimony of eight witnesses and other evidence is enough to name him a suspect,' said Mirza as quoted by Antara news agency.
Even though Sahal was named a suspect he has yet to be detained but has been ordered to report to the police. Traffic unit head at the Karawang Police, First Insp. Heri Nurcahyo, who was in charge at the checkpoint, said that he did not fine the man to avoid any unnecessary argument. Sahal was in possession of a driver's license said Heri and he had no idea why he became so angry.
