Comments: Death penalty: Justified murder

D

ec. 27, p6

It is actually very easy to canalize masses to an idea. And if the so-called idea is monopolized by the state, the propaganda materials are at hand and education is one-sided, and in a short amount of time the majority of the country would become influenced by ideas they would not normally have and do things they would not normally do. (By Harun Yahya, Istanbul)

Your comments:

Defenders of the death penalty say that it is the most effective method of repression against crime, while the fact remains that crime rates are higher in most countries that enforce the death penalty compared to those countries that don'€™t.

It is an interesting opinion since most Islamic countries practice an '€œeye for an eye'€ and a '€œtooth for tooth'€. I hope that Muslims can learn something from this article instead of practicing and upholding laws that are not compatible with their holy book. Kudos to the author!

I can'€™t believe that there are still death sentences, and I don'€™t know if people saw, but it looked like they chained the poor man before they executed him. And what about those people who were cheering on the streets? Reminds me of the gladiators and how people would cheer on the death of someone. My mind doesn'€™t really understand this hunger for violence. Death sentences are unacceptable, I am definitely against them. I hope soon the whole world realizes that the death penalty is a huge mistake.

This is quite an enlightening and very important article. The execution of Abdul Quader Molla revealed the dark and very annoying side of the Islamic world that enforces the death penalty. The death penalty goes against true Islamic teachings. Thank God there are enlightened people in the world like Harun Yahya. I hope the Islamic world hear this important call.
