A landslide in Panimbangan village, Cisarua, Bogor, halted traffic on the road connecting Bogor and Cipanas in Cianjur on Tuesday.
Head of the traffic unit at the Bogor Police, Adj. Comr. Muhammad Chaniago, said his unit deployed dozens of personnel to direct traffic following the landslide, which covered half of the road's width.
'The landslide caused a long traffic jam on the road and the police deployed dozens of personnel to direct traffic because motorists from both directions had to take their turn to pass the landslide area,' he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
All motorists were asked to take extra care as the road was slippery and the mountainous resort area was covered in thick fog.
No fatalities were reported in the landslide.
