Taking place in front of the Dumai Integrated Investment Service office and the Dumai Police precinct, the rally's coordinator Abdul Rasyid said mushrooming prostitution and gambling was due to a lack of monitoring by the Dumai Mayor Khairul Anwar and his subordinates.
'Currently, many karaoke joints and massage parlors in the city operate until midnight and as such are misused [for prostitution and gambling],' Rasyid said.
