After leaving her fans waiting, filmmaker Lola Amaria is ready to start production on a new feature film, titled Negeri Tanpa Telinga (A Country Without Ears), on Feb. 1.
Lola said that the movie was inspired by numerous political cases, especially those tied to corruption, in Indonesia.
'In the last five years, I've read and watched so much news about corruption perpetrated by big names,' Lola said as quoted by tempo.co in Jakarta.
The story of the film, which she began developing since three years ago, will be told from the point of view of a masseuse.
'The masseuse has good ears to listen to many stories about political figures,' Lola said.
