Families of MH370 victims urge Malaysia to immediately find missing plane

T

he families of Indonesian citizens from Medan, North Sumatra, on board the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370, have urged the Malaysian government to immediately find the allegedly hijacked plane.

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Saturday stressed that investigators were looking into all possibilities as to why the MH370 deviated so drastically from its original flight path, despite media reports that the plane was hijacked.

The families of the MH370 victims said on Sunday that they were relieved to hear PM Razak'€™s statements; however, they still hoped that the missing plane could be immediately found to provide certainty on the fate of their relatives.

Santi, the sister of MH370 passenger Sugianto Lo, said her family was relieved to hear PM Najib Razak'€™s statements, saying that the disappearance of MH 370 was related to actions that were likely '€œdeliberate'€™'€.

Santi said that if it was true that MH 370 was hijacked, then it was the Malaysian government'€™s responsibilities to immediately find the plane.

'€œMalaysia should be able to quickly find the MH 370 plane. The most important thing for us is that the passengers are found and return back home to us,'€ said Santi at her home on Jl. Bilal, Medan, on Sunday.

Santi said her family, especially the children of Sugianto and his wife, Vinny Chynthya Tio, who was also on board, was worried.

'€œSugianto and Vinny have three school-age children and they have started showing changes in their behavior since their parents went missing on the plane,'€ said Santi.

The children '€“ Antonio Nugroho, 17, Candra Sulistyo Nugroho, 15; and Ayu Sulistia, 12 '€“ kept asking about the fate of their parents, she added.

Immanuel Siregar, a relative of another passenger, Firman Chandra Siregar, said it was hoped that the Malaysian government could be transparent in providing information on the latest developments of the MH 370 investigation.

He said his family could only pray that the missing plane was immediately found. (ebf)
