With less than two weeks until an Indonesian migrant worker is to be beheaded in Saudi Arabia, various organizations have called on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to intervene in the case.
'We urge the President to directly intervene and save Satinah [binti Jumadi Ahmad] from the death penalty,' Tumbu Saraswati of the Commission on Violence against Women (Komnas Perempuan) said on Sunday, referring to the native of Semarang, Central Java, who is on death row in Saudi Arabia.
Your comments:
Yes, show that we dare to bully everyone! Not just tiny red dots. But Rp 22.5 billion (US$1.97 million) is a lot of money. What if the religious affairs minister first asks Satinah if she wouldn't actually prefer to donate the money to her family, or even her village in Indonesia instead?

As long as Indonesia itself sentences people (including foreigners) to death and executes them, it behaves like a hypocrite when it wants to buy freedom for an Indonesian convict on death row abroad.

Indonesia must respect the laws of Saudi Arabia!

This is the test of whether or not the president respects Islamic law (sharia).
