Prosecutors had demanded the sentence be 11 years.
Commenting on the verdict, Pragsono said he would not comment until he had spoken to his defense attorney.
Pragsono accepted Rp 150 million in bribes from Sri Dartutik, the sibling of former Grobogan Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) member M Yaeni, in return for the panel to rule in favor of M Yaeni, who was on trial for embezzlement.
Pragsono's colleague on the panel, Kartini Juliana Magdalena Marpaung is currently serving 10 years in prison. (dic)
