During a site inspection on Wednesday, Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo said that the completion of the project, which was being managed by the Public Works Ministry, would depend on the completion of land acquisition by the city administration.

North Jakarta Mayor Heru Budi Susanto said that negotiations with families affected by the project were ongoing.
'Jampea residents demanded Rp 35 million [US$3,045] per square meter, but we decided on Rp 12.5 million in accordance to market price. Meanwhile, Kalibaru residents demanded Rp 10 million per square meter, but we set the price at Rp 1.9 million per square meter,' he said.
