Andi Fadly Arifuddin has hit the charts with Padi and Musikimia pop rock bands. But the father of four is not a person who gives his entire life to the music business.
Fadly, famous for hit songs like 'Seperti Kekasihku' (Like My Lover) and 'Kasih Tak Sampai' (Unrequited Love), says he has been intensely involved in gardening ' his childhood dream ' for the past four years.
The 38-year-old even has a modest house in Pondok Cabe in Tangerang with large yards to raise livestock. He also uses aquaponic technology to grow organic vegetables.
While Fadly says his family lives in Jakarta, they make the trek to Tangerang every week to garden.
Fadly plans to write a book about aquaponic gardening, therefore, he needs Internet-enabled gadgets for research.
On average, Fadly spends five hours in a day with his gadgets.
iPhone S4
This cell phone is all I need on a daily basis. Besides communications, I use the phone to browse the Internet ' mostly looking for preview information about anything I need, including gardening and aquaponic systems, as well as looking at my social media accounts and news portals.
In music, I also make the best use of the gadget to record tunes and lyrics in an instant. You never know when you will be inspired, so an iPhone is quite helpful to keep what I have in mind.
MacBook Pro
If I use the iPhone to look for previews of anything digital or on the Internet, I use a MacBook to learn more intensely. For example, I will search about one technique on aquaponic systems on the iPhone first. Later, I will use my MacBook to look further into the technique ['¦] download and save it.
It also applies in music. If I use iPhone to record an idea for my music, I will then use MacBook to make a simple music demo. One of the programs that I often use is Garage Band, which is connectable with musical instruments. The program is enough for a simple and nice demo.
Beats by Dre headset
I got this headset from one of my relatives. I use it to listen to audio or audio-video files from the Internet and to do my music recording. I was lucky to get this headset as a gift.
Beats is good enough. Simple in design, strong as well as has good quality in clarity ' perfect for a middle-class headset at an affordable price.
