akarta Governor Joko'Jokowi' Widodo has ordered an immediate construction of a makeshift market forthose Senen market vendors who lost their kiosks due to a fire on Friday. Hesaid the makeshift market must be constructed near the old market.
'I have ordered the related agency to immediately build a makeshift market to accommodate vendors from Senen market, which has been gutted by fire,' he said as quoted by Antara news agency on Friday.
Besides the makeshift market, he went on, the Jakarta administration also intended to renovate the market. He added the administration had planned to renovate the building in July this year but must do so now due to the fire.
'We planned to renovate the building after Idul Fitri. However, because of today's incident, we will immediately work on the renovation,' he said.(idb/dic)
