s many as 21 people have beenquestioned as witnesses relating to the alleged rape of a 14-year-old student from Tsanawiyah junior highschool in Lima Puluh Kota regency, West Sumatra.
'We have questioned 21 people as witnesses,' West Sumatra Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Syamsi said on Saturday as quoted by Antara news agency.
He said that according to the witnesses, the victim and the perpetrator had met on four occasions at four different places; the first meeting took place in Bukit Tinggi and the last was at the girl's boarding house, where she was allegedly raped.
The police have named a suspect, identified only by his initials, AR.
Syamsi said the police would be submitting the case to prosecutors in the near future.(fss)
