ead of the Class II A Jambi Penitentiary,Hendra Eka Putra, said onSaturday that he would award Rp 10 million (US$857.63) to anyone whoprovided information leading to the detention of inmate Misroni, alias Roni, who escaped from the Jambi prison on June15.
"Most rewards only amount to Rp 5 million, but we have doubled that," he said.
Hendra said that the police were still searching for Roni, who had been sentenced to seven years imprisonment in a narcotics case, and would continue to search for him until he was recaptured.
Hendra hoped that Roni would give himself up as he would not then receive an extra punishment. (fss/dic)
