Twenty four years is quite a time for Germany to wait to win the World Cup trophy. And it happened on, off all places, South American soil.
It was a great day for Germany; and a dreary one for Argentina. It's a new spirit for Germany, and time to introspection for Argentina. What we can learn is that perseverance will bring anyone to success.

Germany's victory over Argentina in the World Cup final is a well-earned feat. Both teams are of equal strength and they are applying similar strategies in their game. Luckily, Germany got the perfect chance in the last minutes which they executed successfully.

Messi is the greatest footballer in the World today but he proved, in the final, that he is not yet the equal of his fellow Maradona, who had the ability to carry his team on his shoulders and to will a score if necessary.
Messi is an exciting player capable of fantastic moments on the pitch but he never produced anything like the goal of the century or even the controversial Hand of God score in the biggest game of his life.
