After 15 years of exploitation, Newmont is still refusing to cooperate. If the firm'€™s argument is correct '€” that building its own smelter is not financially viable '€” why can'€™t it support the development of smelters by PT Smelting, PT Nusantara Smelting, PT Indosmelt or PT Indovasi and sell its concentrate to those companies?
