Four house have been left severely damaged after a flash fire on Jl. Angkasa Dalam in Gunung Sahari Selatan on Saturday.

No fatalities were reported in the incident.

The fire, which happened Saturday morning, was believed to have been caused by a short circuit. It took 13 fire trucks one hour to fight the flames.

'€œThe incident caused Rp 25 million [US$2,500] in losses to the owners of the houses,'€ Central Jakarta Natural Disaster Agency head Rahmat Krisatanto said as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Eyewitness reported the incident to the police soon after the fire started.

Several days earlier, a fire damaged 125 houses in a densely populated area in Kemayoran Gempol while most residents were away for the Idul Fitri holiday.
