JAKARTA: Teen singer Bastian Bintang Simbolon says that he's going to continue his education through home schooling, so he can balance his education with a show business career.
'It's hard for me to get up in the morning. If it's regular school, I have to get up in the morning, while I'm shooting at night,' the 14-year-old former member of boyband Coboy Junior said on Monday as reported by tribbunews.com.
The singer admits that he's been late to class since elementary school, finding it tough to balance his extracurricular activities with studying.
However, friends and relatives convinced him of the importance of an education, Bastian said.
Realizing that things weren't working, Bastian told his parents he wanted to be home schooled. They quickly agreed.
'I think it's important. A career's also important ' that's why [I'm choosing] home schooling,' he said.
