AKARTA: Pop-punk band Pee Wee Gaskins will perform at two events in Tokyo, Japan on Aug. 19 and 20.
The five-piece Jakarta-based band was invited to perform at the Zher The Zoo live event venue in Yoyogi, Shibuya; and at the Studio Coast waterfront concert venue in Shin-Kiba.
The band previously performed at ACB Hall Tokyo, Tokyo School of Music and Summer Sonic in 2012 and won the Asia Versus music competition held by Fuji TV last year.
'We are seeing an increasing number of fans in Japan. At our first gig, only dozens of people showed up, but the Summer Sonic organizing committee said our stage was the most crowded,' frontman Dochi told tribunnews.com
'Now some Japanese bands even mention Pee Wee Gaskins on social media.'
The band consists vocalist and bassist Dochi, guitarist and vocalist Sansan, Omo on keyboards and vocals, Aldy on drums and Ayi on guitar.
