conomic Coordinating Minister Chairul Tandjung says that the state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina will continue its plan to increase the price of the 12-kilogram LPG canister despite Karen Agustiawan resignation.
He said that the central government has agreed on the plan and the amount of increase would be discussed immediately.
"Pertamina and the government will discuss the price in a consulting meeting within the next few days. The government does not have any objection with this plan," he told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Previously in January this year, the price of the 12-kg LPG canister rose by Rp 1,000 (US cents 8.6) and Rp 1,500 per kilogram. (nfo)
