orruption Eradication Commission (KPK) commissioner Busyro Muqoddas said he would return to his previous job as a lecturer after retiring from the KPK this December.
'I will go back to campus,' he said on Wednesday, as quoted by tempo.co.
Before having been elected by legislators as KPK leader in 2010, Busyro had been registered as a lecturer at the Indonesia Islamic University's law school since 1983.
Many anti-graft activists had earlier urged Busyro to run for a second term as KPK leader. However, this might force him to start over again at the first stages of the recruitment process.
The government had formed a selection committee, led by Law and Human Rights Minister Amir Syamsuddin, and tasked it to garner potential candidates to replace Busyro. (alz)
