he Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed on a positive note in Thursday's final trading session, rising by 0.37 percent to finish at 5,184.47.
As many as 190 traded stocks strengthened by 4 p.m. on Thursday, while 117 stocks weakened and 92 stocks were unchanged, kontan.co.id reported.
The volume of transactions in the afternoon involved 4.987 billion stocks worth Rp 5.313 trillion (US$451.6 million).
Shares in every sector trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) showed improvements, with construction recording the highest growth as it significantly climbed by 1.27 percent.
Behind it were the miscellaneous industry and manufacturing, which strengthened by 0.81 percent and 0.47 percent, respectively.
The LQ45 index's highest gainers in the closing session included PT AKR Corporindo (AKRA), PT Pakuwon Jati (PWON) and PT Ciputra Development (CTRA).
Meanwhile, PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BBTN), PT Express Transindo (TAXI) and PT Adaro Energy (ADRO) were the index's biggest losers. (nfo)
