KPK summons Jero's wife, coordinating minister as witnesses

orruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators have summoned Triesna Wacik, wife of former energy and mineral resources minister Jero Wacik, as well as Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Djoko Suyanto as witnesses in an allegation of extortion within the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
Djoko, who arrived in the morning at the KPK headquarters, said he was in the dark regarding the motivation behind the summons.
'We will soon find out through the investigators' questions,' he said on Tuesday as quoted by tempo.co.
No information from Jero's wife was made available to The Jakarta Post.
The KPK had earlier summoned Daniel Sparingga, a special staff to the President on politics, as a witness.
Jero Wacik has been named suspect for allegedly extorting money from other parties within the ministry. He was also suspected of graft in connection with a ministry procurement project that resulted in Rp 9.9 billion in state losses.(dic)(++++)
