PT Mercedes-Benz Indonesia (MBI) president and CEO Claus Weidner says the German carmaker has introduced some new cars suitable for the younger generation to tap into the countryâs growing group of younger customers
T Mercedes-Benz Indonesia (MBI) president and CEO Claus Weidner says the German carmaker has introduced some new cars suitable for the younger generation to tap into the country's growing group of younger customers.
'This year is an investment year for us. We will provide more choices for younger Indonesian customers,' he told The Jakarta Post recently at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
During Southeast Asia's biggest motor show, he said, the firm had displayed its five new sedans, namely the GLA200 Sport, the New C 200 Avant-garde, the New 250 AMG, the CLS 400 AMG Dynamic and the E 63 AMG S, to attract Indonesia's youth.
The GLA200 Sport sedan, for instance, had headlights equipped with the latest LED technology and had been built to look sportier, he added.
He said Indonesia had become one of the firm's potential automotive markets in the past years, thus participating in IIMS gave a good opportunity to introduce its new cars.
Meanwhile, MBI marketing director Stephen Moebius said his company had displayed a total of 13 cars during the 22nd IIMS this year, including the newest S 400 L Exclusive sedan that was launched in the country in July this year. (alz/nfo)(++++)
