Yogi 'Demit' Natasukma is a part-time musician who is well-known in social media circles as the founder of the Musicians United group.
It started as an experiment for Demit, who invited amateur musicians from all over Indonesia through his Twitter account to send videos of them performing a traditional or a national song that was chosen by the readers of his blog.
Demit edited, mixed and compiled the videos he received into a single video clip that was uploaded to YouTube in 2013.
The first Musicians United video received a positive response from YouTube users.
Since then, Demit and his fellow amateur musicians have produced seven videos of Indonesia's national songs, including 'Tanah Air', 'Indonesia Pusaka', 'Sabda Alam' and a medley of children's songs.
In Demit's daily life, he works as a sound engineer, editing the audio part of television commercials for various brands.
As a sound engineer, Demit says that gadgets are an important part of his work.
'In my line, which consists of almost 24-hour readiness to adapt to a client's needs; portability and flexibility to work almost anywhere, besides the mixing itself, is a must,' Demit told The Jakarta Post.
Demit, whose company MyPost does post-production for television commercials for Maybelline, L'Oreal, Koko Krunch, Izzi Splash and SmartFren, said that when choosing a gadget, he took a look at the ecosystem offered by the operating system.
'Rather than a brand, I'd like to think myself as a fanboy of an ecosystem that nowadays only includes three: Android/Chrome, iOS and Windows.
'Of those three, I choose Android/Chrome as they provide me with less annoyance in building my work ecosystem,' he said.
Gadgets
I have had a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 since the day it came on the market and have tried a Samsung Galaxy S5. But it doesn't really match my style, so I gave it to my wife. She seems to like it a lot. I have a Nexus 7, 1st generation for my son. And finally, I have a Chromebook Pixel as my laptop.
Apps
Well everyone has different needs, but if I have to recommend one app, that would be Airdroid. It connects your Android [phone] to your web browser on the PC/Chromebook/Mac effortlessly, and has so many features, like the well-known Titanium Backup.
