JAKARTA: As she is set to wed actor Raffi Ahmad in just a few days, actress Nagita Slavina, or Gigi, is practicing pingit, a Javanese ritual that requires her to stay home until her wedding day.
'She is doing pingit, as required by Javanese tradition. Gigi can't go anywhere now,' Nisya, Raffi's sister, said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
She added that she had planned to hang out with her future sister-in-law before her wedding day, but now she'll have to wait until after the wedding to do so.
Raffi and Gigi will marry on Oct. 17, hold a reception in Jakarta on Oct. 19 and fly to Bali on Oct. 25 for a private reception with family and friends.
