O

strong>Oct. 28, p2

When she was defeated in her attempt to to become the 2014-2019 Biak Numfor regent in Papua, Yohana Susana Yembise may have swallowed a bitter pill, but she was headed for a better future after being appointed as women'€™s empowerment and child protection minister in the administration of President Joko '€œJokowi'€ Widodo. She replaced Linda Amalia Sari.

Your comments:

Good luck with your work, Bu. You are a lady that makes both the nation and Papua proud.

Congratulations, Yo! Help the kids on the streets get schooled and you will have done a great job.

Hopefully, Mrs. Yo can bring change to Indonesia, especially in women'€™s empowerment and child protection. We are waiting.

Congratulations for Mama Yembise. Please work from your point of view as a Papuan woman.

I know you will bring change for Indonesian women and children concerning their education and development, especially in Papua.

Fatma Watis Tuby

From now on, she is no longer an icon of Papua. Mrs. Yohana has transformed into an inspiring symbol for modern Indonesian women. She will be remembered through generations as a milestone of gender equality.

Her appointment says that any Indonesian is free to dream about their future and seize that dream with hard work.

It'€™s a great achievement, Mama Yembise.
