JAKARTA: Actress Sha Ine Febriyanti performed Wakil Rakyat yang Terhormat (The Honorable People's Representative) at the Bentara Budaya Bali cultural center in Gianyar, Bali, on Wednesday.
The monologue, based on a script by Putu Fajar Arcana, coincided with the release of Monolog Politik (Political Monologue) by the Bali-born journalist and writer earlier this week.
'It discusses issues that lay before our eyes, so I'm voicing what is in our head and heart,' Ine said as quoted by tempo.co in Bali.
Wakil Rakyat yang Terhormat explored hypocrisy among Indonesia's elite, using masks to symbolize how people wore second skins in daily life, she said.
