Police caught Hasanuddin University'€™s (Unhas) vice rector for academic and student affairs, Musakkir, allegedly in the act of using shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) at the Grand Malibu Hotel in Makassar, South Sulawesi on Friday at 3 a.m.

The police caught Musakkir, a professor of law at Unhas, with two female students identified as Nilam and Ainum Nakiyah, as well as Ismail Alrip, another lecturer from the same university.

Your comments:

We know using shabu-shabu is prohibited as it harms ourselves and others. Lecturers doing this encourages others to do it and it will ruin our country. Moreover, he is a professor of law so he knows about the laws of this country.

Hahra Moemoe

This is not a good example for his students.

Rizqi Darmastuti

It'€™s not a good example. He should be severely punished because he understands the law.

Tirzia Ocha

This is probably either a case of sexual favors being exchanged for good grades or extortion/blackmail on the part of the rector.

Either way, the rector and his hotel activities must come to an end.

Lesem Bebby

It will be interesting to see the punishment.

Would it be the same as if a foreigner was caught doing the same thing?

Tahu

The police should reveal what the motives are for using drugs and find out who is involved.

We really need to dismiss these kinds of lecturers from the education system to prevent them spreading bad influences.
