CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters returns in April

he fifth CIMB Niaga Indonesian Masters will be held on April 23-26, 2015 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club, East Jakarta, the organizers announced on Thursday.

The US$750,000 tournament will feature world-class golfers, namely two-time Indonesian Masters champion Lee Westwood of Britain, four-time major champion Ernie Els of South Africa and Asian star Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand.

The 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen, 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke and Ryder Cup star Victor Dubuisson are also set to join the stellar lineup.

'€œIn the tournament'€™s five years, we'€™ve had some fantastic winners with Lee Westwood, Bernd Wiesberger and Anirban Lahiri in April this year. We'€™re all eagerly looking forward to seeing who will come out on top at the 2015 tournament,'€ said president director of CIMB Niaga Arwin Rasyid in a statement.

Sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Indonesia'€™s Professional Golf Tour (PGTI), the Indonesian Masters will feature 24 Indonesian golfers; 20 professionals from the PGTI and four of Indonesia'€™s top amateurs. Previous editions have welcomed Indonesia'€™s brightest professionals and amateurs such as George Gandranata, Rory Hie, Jordan Irawan, Andik Mauludin and Tirto Tamardi.

The tournament will be broadcast live across the Asian Tour TV platform, reaching 625 million households in over 180 countries. (***)
