he Penjaringan district office has torn down part of the outdoor parking lot of Pluit Village shopping mall in West Jakarta, returning the space to its original function as a road.
'The road will help ease congestion around Jl. Pluit Permai Raya' Penjaringan district head Yani Wahyu Purwoko said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Sunday.
The district deployed three excavators to help with dismantling, a process that will take up to three days.
According to Yani, the management of Pluit Village had promised to tear down the parking space and had been given until the end of February to do so.
The district head said the parking space would be converted into a street that connected both Jl. Putera and Jl. Puteri with Jl. Pluit Permai Raya.
