ire manufacturer PT Bridgestone Tire Indonesia (BSIN), a subsidiary of Japan-based Bridgestone Corporation, announced the appointment of Yoshikazu Shida as the new president director of the company.
Shida replaces Junichi Kumano who was appointed as director of Bridgestone Corporation's aircraft tire business division.
A company statement on Wednesday stated Shida would lead BSIN in strengthening its leadership in the country's tire industry.
'The company has undertaken impressive achievements over so many years, particularly in maintaining its leading position in the local tire market. I am committed to upholding the company's commitment to customer satisfaction, which is evident in all levels of the business, and to continue our contribution to the Indonesian market as a leading company in the industry,' he said.
Shida has been with Bridgestone since 1989 and has previously been assigned to various countries, spending more than 10 years in the American region. Prior to joining BSIN, Shida was the chairman and president of Bridgestone Taiwan Co., Ltd.
