n official residence of West Java's Bogor Deputy Mayor Usman Hariman was found to be illegally equipped with a barbershop and a local clothing store, kompas.com reported.
Located in the elite housing area of North Bogor's Villa Indah Pajajaran, the residence housed a crowded barbershop and a clothing store. According to Home Ministry Regulation No. 17/2007 on technical guidelines for local government property management, an official residence must not be used for business.
Usman, Bogor Mayor Bima Arya and regional secretary Ade Sarip Hidayat were not available for comment.
'Using an official home for personal business is prohibited. We are ready to seal the building if instructed,' Bogor Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) head Eko Prabowo said as quoted by kompas.com. The house, which was built using Rp 7.4 billion from the city's budget, has been used by Usman since he was inaugurated as the deputy mayor in 2014.
