The central government has decided to suspend the implementation of the controversial National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD), also known as the Jakarta reclamation, pending an evaluation.

Whatever good critical thinking may have been illustrated by Sudirman Said, I believe most of it came from Ms. Susi as the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister.
'The NCICD was created to solve the flooding problem in Jakarta.
However, why are they [the city administrators] trying to solve the problem by building property?'
There are other intentions behind this project, not only an attempt to solve the flooding problem but also an attempt to make profits.
This is a big project where much money and many parties are involved, so the city administration must take precautions in order to prevent corruption in this project.

On the one hand, they are aggressively chasing investors to invest in infrastructure projects, saying 'things are different now and we are serious about rectifying all the problems from the past'.
And in a few short months of being in power they have cancelled the bridge project, delayed the fast train project from Jakarta to Surabaya and cancelled the reclamation project.
So where is the change? There is still no guarantee here that they will allow you to complete your project after inviting you here to do a feasibility study.
