em>Your comments on the Youth and Sports Ministry'€™s decision to suspend the Soccer Association of Indonesia (PSSI) for disregarding its recommendations to ban two troubled soccer clubs, with the PSSI vowing to fight the government'€™s move:

Let the soccer organization choose its own path. Let'€™s see if it can survive without any intervention, ideas or assistance from the government. We never win any games anyway.

Eddy Arjuna Zainy

A ministry recommendation is not the same as an instruction, so it looks like the suspension is misjudged.

I fully support the PSSI'€™s vow to fight the government'€™s move. The government is biased in everything it does.

The ministry'€™s move risks sanctions from FIFA. FIFA will be obliged to send a letter, at the end of the possibly canceled season, but does not really care.

They tried mediating before, but as soon as their representatives leave new troubles start.

The kids are more interested in playing futsal now.

Hopefully, futsal competitions and organization in Indonesia will develop better than soccer has.

At last our government has the courage to straighten out the condition of our soccer clubs. Without intervention, the club would have been a loose cannon and played at will, without the slightest desire of national dignity or pride.

The voice that sounds like neglecting national recognition must be the voice of the individuals who thus far have been taking advantage of the presence of the clubs for personal needs, such as by engineering matches.

There are, however, individuals who think more dynamically. They are the promoters who run the system profitably by achieving popularity and continuity. These are individuals who believe in paying taxes to the government.

Knowing that every match will invite eager spectators, locally as well supporters from the other soccer parties, there are advertisers willing to pay for advertisements at the venues.

It indeed creates income for the city to tax the soccer club; not only from taxes on advertisement sales, but also from the club'€™s annual income taxes.

This way, the government is able to arrange and support the matches of other sports against other nations in line with the taxes collected from soccer matches.
