aritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Susi Pudjiastuti is set to reshuffle a number of high-ranking officials in the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry to improve the ministry's performance.
'To improve the quality of public service, we will continually evaluate all positions at the ministry,' she said in Jakarta on Monday.
According to Susi, following the rotation of 19 Echelon II officials in January, this week will see an open recruitment for Echelon I positions. Furthermore, according to the 2014 State Civilian Apparatus Law, high-echelon positions are open to non-civil servant candidates.
The minister called on the best civil servants and non-civil servant individuals to contest the vacant high-echelon positions in an open selection process.
'Contestants will not be limited only to civil servants at the ministry, but all civil servants from other ministries and non-department government institutions are invited to contest the open recruitment selection,' she said, as quoted by Antara news agency. (rms)(++++)
