Speaking to journalists at the State Secretariat in Jakarta on Tuesday, the committee's spokesperson, Betty Alisjahbana, said the registration would be open until June 24.
'With this announcement, we are calling on candidates to register. We have detailed the requirements, as stipulated in Article 29 of Law No.30/2002. The registration will be open from June 5 to 24, or 14 working days,' said Betty, who was accompanied by eight other KPK selection committee members, as quoted by Antara news agency on Tuesday.
She hoped that all candidates could prepare the required documents starting from today until June 5.
'Registration documents can be submitted directly to the selection committee secretariat via post or first via e-mail so they can immediately arrive at the committee,' said Betty, adding that the result of each stage of the selection process would be posted on the State Secretariat website or published in media reports.
Betty said some factors, including candidates' knowledge and integrity, would influence their chances.
On May 21, President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo announced the selection committee members. Aside from management and information technology expert Betty, they are Destry Damayanti (economist, monetary expert) as chairman, Enny Nurbaningsih (constitutional law expert) as deputy chairman, Harkristuti Harkrisnowo (criminal law and human rights expert), Yenti Garnasih (economic crime expert), Supra Wimbarti (psychologist), Natalia Subagio (governance and bureaucracy expert), Diani Sadiawati (legal expert) and Meuthia Ganie Sadiawati (sociologist).
