A densely populated neighborhood in Jembatan Lima subdistrict, West Jakarta, was ravaged by fire on Thursday.
'We were informed about the fire at 2:45 a.m.,' Eko Sumarno, a firefighter, said on Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Twenty-eight fire engines were deployed to the location to extinguish the fire, Eko said, adding that the fire had been put out by 4:20 a.m.
The fire was believed to have been caused by a short circuit in a house belonging to Amsir, 55.
No fatalities were reported in the incident, which ravaged four family homes occupied by 35 people, Eko said. (hhr)
